About

We build the website, and whatever has to work behind it.

How we build websites and custom applications, and the work around them: search, listings, ads, phones and hosting. Florida, Alabama, Ohio and Indiana.

Why we work this way

Most of what goes wrong with a small business website goes wrong after launch.

A site gets built, it looks fine on the day, and then nobody owns it. The person who knew the login leaves. The plugin running the booking form stops being updated. The hours on Google drift away from the hours on the door. Two years later the business is paying for something that quietly stopped bringing in work, and nobody can say exactly when it happened.

We built this around that problem rather than around the launch. It is why we agree a page list before drawing anything, why we build on tools that will still be supported in five years, and why the domain and the logins go in your name from the start. It is also why we take on the hosting, the mail, the phones and the listings. Not to sell more, but because those are the things that break a site when four different companies are each looking after one of them.

The trade is that we are slower to promise a date. We would rather tell you in week one that the thing you asked for needs a rebuild than discover it in week six. Some people find that frustrating. The ones who stay tend to stay a long time.

What we believe

Three things we hold to, even when it is slower.

Not marketing lines. Each one genuinely changes what we ship.

Four seconds is already too late

A website that takes four seconds to load has already lost most of the people who clicked. Weight is a design decision: type, images, and scripts belong in the brief. They are not a later optimization pass we sell after the site feels slow.

If you cannot edit it, it is not finished

A site that only we can change is a brochure you rent. Templates and CMS fields are named after the content. Swapping a staff photo or a phone number is a field. It is not a ticket to reconstruct a grid.

A blank is more honest than a fake result

We would rather show you nothing than show you something invented. No made-up case studies, testimonials, logo strips or percentages. Every project on the work page is a real client who cleared us to publish it, which is why there are five rather than fifty.

How we work

What working with us actually looks like.

The parts of a project that usually go unsaid until they go wrong.

You review a URL
Staging is a real page you can open on your phone. You see the site taking shape rather than waiting six weeks for a PDF of a homepage.
Rounds are named before we start
Structure first, then the look, then correction. Knowing the shape of the process up front keeps it from drifting. If someone who needs to approve the work has not seen it yet, we would rather wait for them than guess.
Launch includes the unglamorous list
Redirects, domain settings, security, analytics and who holds the registrar account. If a step fails on launch day we stop and fix it before announcing anything.
We will tell you when a rebuild is the cheaper job
If the templates cannot take unique titles, or the HTML is a shell search engines cannot read, we say that after looking at the site. It is not a default upsell.
You can leave with the keys
The domain, the editing tools, the code and the backups are all in your name. We would like you to stay because the work is good, not because leaving is difficult.

Tell us what you need built.

No pitch deck and no discovery fee. Most engagements start with a single site, and we add the rest only when it earns its place.

What happens next

  1. Send a short brief, or just a link to the site you have now.
  2. We reply within two business days with questions, or a time to talk.
  3. You get scope, sequence and a price range in writing before anything starts.
