Where the photography comes from.
The photographs on this site that carry an attribution requirement, with their source and license. If you own one of these and something here is wrong, use the contact form and we will fix it.
Why this page exists
Short version: some licenses require credit, and we would rather publish it than be asked for it.
Most of the photography on this site is stock, licensed under terms that do not require attribution. We do not list those, because a credit list that has to be updated every time an image changes stops being accurate within a month, and an inaccurate credit is worse than none.
The photographs below are different. They come from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons licenses, and several of those licenses require that the photographer is named, the license is stated, and the source is reachable. That is a condition of use rather than a courtesy, so it is published here and repeated on the page where each image appears.
We make no ownership claim over any of them. If you took one of these photographs and something on this page is wrong, or you would rather we stopped using it, tell us through the contact form and we will correct or remove it.
